Dr. Sunil Nadkarni’s experience and interests lie the surgical management of degenerative ailments, tumors and infections of the spine. His areas of expertise include neurological decompression with reconstruction and the correction of adult and pediatric spine deformities. Dr. Nadkarni is a pioneer in establishing cervical surgery as a safe and effective procedure in Pune. He was also a pioneer in introducing endoscopic spine surgery in India.
Dr Nadkarni trained as a Fellow spine surgeon at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. Later, he moved to the UK to complete his Masters in Orthopedics from Liverpool and worked as a consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London.
Dr. Nadkarni has performed over 2,500 spinal surgeries of varied complexity. He is actively involved in the training of spine surgery techniques internationally.
