Shravani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Sinhgad College of Engineering under University of Pune. Her B.Tech thesis was focused on “FOXO3a Gene Polymorphism is associated with asthma in Indian population” and also carried out a mini-project on “Optimization of urea PAGE gel for detection of Oligonucleotides”. A research paper on her B.Tech project has also been published in Molecular Biology International Journal. Her areas of interest include microfluidic devices, lab on a chip technology, biochemistry, biomaterials, molecular biology and regenerative medicine.She has worked as an Intern at Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, Jalgaon during which she worked in the virology, analytical chemistry and molecular biology labs. She also interned at Serum Institute of India where she was trained for monoclonal antibody production, ELISA and HPLC-MS. At BETiC, she is working on a project, “HbQuant” with Dr. Nambiraj Konar from B.K.L. Walawalkar Hospital, Dervan (Chiplun).

“A point of care diagnostic device for quantification of Hemoglobin with a single drop of blood using image processing aimed at laboratories and lower income strata of the society.”
